Today you and your group will research a rock.

  1. Go to Geology.com and look at the different rocks.
  2. Choose a rock to research and answer the following questions:

-What type of rock is it? (Igneous, Sedimentary, or Metamorphic)

-What does it look like?

-How was it formed?

-Where is it found on Earth?

-What is it used for?

-Why is it important?

-What elements is it composed of?

-What shape are the pieces if you break them off?

-How hard is it (Mohs scale)?
