Group Research Project:
Today you and your group will be researching one transitional fossil. This is a fossil that helps us make evolutionary connections between species. After researching the importance of a fossil, you will demonstrate your knowledge with an essay, poster, Prezi/PowerPoint, song, poem, or other project to show what you have learned.
1. Search for a transitional fossil to study in depth.

2. Begin gathering information on the fossil.
3. Create a project that displays the information you gathered.
Some questions to think about:
-When was this species alive?
-What species does this fossil resemble?
-What does this fossil tell us about past evolutionary relationships?
-Why did the old species die out and the new population evolve in the way it did?
